John brings more than 30 years of leadership across operations, commercial and asset management, engineering, construction, and procurement. At Intersect, he leads Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Asset Management.
Prior to Intersect, John was Senior Vice President of Operations at Clearway Energy Group, where he directed the engineering, strategic procurement, construction and operation of approximately 12 GWs of large-scale projects. He previously served as Vice President of Global Operations at Pattern Energy, overseeing assets across Latin America, North America, and Japan. Prior to that, John held various roles at PPM/Iberdrola, including Director of Field Operations and Managing Director of Operations and Controls Engineering.
John holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and completed the Executive Management Program at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having spent eight years in Naval Nuclear Engineering and serving aboard the USS Arkansas nuclear-propelled guided-missile cruiser.
John lives in Texas with his wife. Now empty-nesters with two daughters and a son, they enjoy traveling more frequently.
